Pride Month: A Celebration of Courage, Community, and Being Yourself

Every June, rainbow flags appear in windows, communities gather in celebration, and people around the world come together to honor Pride Month.

For some, Pride Month is a joyful celebration. For others, it's a time of reflection, learning, or discovering where they belong. For many, it's a little bit of everything.

At its heart, Pride Month is about people.

It's about the courage to be yourself.

It's about communities that lift one another up.

It's about recognizing the progress that has been made while continuing to hope for a future where everyone feels safe, valued, and accepted.

Pride looks different for everyone.

For one person, Pride might mean attending their very first parade.

For another, it might mean quietly hanging a small rainbow sticker in their bedroom window.

It might mean supporting a friend, learning about LGBTQ+ history, creating art that reflects your identity, or simply embracing who you are without apology.

There is no single "right way" to celebrate Pride.
